The module then introduces the RISE with SAP Methodology Dashboard, helping learners understand how organizations can gain visibility into clean core adherence and transformation progress.

The original curriculum specifically identifies three outcomes for this module: explaining the phases of the methodology, applying SAP Activate tools, and visualizing transformation outcomes through customer success stories. 

This unit introduces the overall RISE with SAP Methodology and explains why organizations benefit from following a structured transformation framework.

Learners will explore how the methodology supports organizations as they move toward a cloud operating model while maintaining focus on business value, implementation quality, innovation, and long-term operational effectiveness.

The methodology builds upon SAP Activate and follows six major phases:

Discover → Prepare → Explore → Realize → Deploy → Run

Rather than treating these phases as independent project stages, RISE with SAP connects them through clean core activities, quality gates, implementation guidance, tools, and continuous collaboration.Current SAP guidance identifies three important elements within the methodology: a standardized framework, a transformation toolchain, and expert guidance. Together, these help organizations approach cloud transformation in a more structured and manageable way.

This unit takes a deeper look at the components that make the RISE with SAP Methodology practical during an implementation.

Learners will explore how SAP Activate, transformation tools, onboarding activities, clean core guidance, project governance, quality gates, and expert support work together across the transformation lifecycle.

The standardized framework builds upon SAP Activate while adding RISE-specific activities designed to improve onboarding, gather important information early in the project, establish clean core expectations, and maintain implementation quality.

Participants will also understand how tools can support activities such as business process transformation, enterprise architecture, project management, integration, extensibility, migration, testing, and operations.

Current SAP guidance highlights an increasingly integrated transformation toolchain involving solutions such as SAP LeanIX, SAP Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Build, and SAP Integration Suite, alongside other supporting technologies.

Another important concept covered in this unit is the clean core approach. Learners will understand how clean core considerations can influence areas such as business processes, extensibility, data, integration, and operations.

The objective is to help learners see the methodology not simply as a project plan, but as a combination of people, processes, tools, governance, and guidance working together to improve transformation outcomes.

The final unit introduces the RISE with SAP Methodology Dashboard and explains how it supports visibility into clean core progress.

The dashboard is available through SAP Cloud ALM and provides organizations with information that can help them assess and monitor clean core adherence.

Learners will explore how dashboard information can provide insights into areas such as system status, extensibility, operations, customer objects, business modifications, and data volume efficiency.

Rather than relying only on periodic project reviews, the dashboard provides a more data-driven way to understand the current condition of relevant SAP environments and identify areas that may require attention.

Current SAP guidance describes capabilities that allow organizations to access information about system adherence, analyze clean core status and optimization opportunities, and manage areas such as system extensibility in preparation for future upgrades and innovations.

This unit helps learners understand how methodology, governance, and system information can come together to support continuous transformation rather than ending when the initial implementation is complete.
